Senior PHP / MySQL Programmer
Experienced programmer to join on a full-time permanent basis.
Candidates must:
- be degree (or similar) educated in a computer science field
- be skilled in object-oriented analysis and design and relational database theory and design
- have significant commercial experience
- have a proven track record of delivering substantial database-driven websites or applications
We work in an object-oriented PHP5, MySQL, Linux-based environment. Experience and confidence with these technologies is a must.
Other desirable skills include:
- unit testing / test-driven development and version control.
- appreciation of software best-practices, agile development
- experience with XML, UML, SOAP
We particularly welcome candidates able to demonstrate skills with:
- raw XHTML, CSS and Javascript,
- sensitivity to Web Standards and accessibility
- MVC frameworks will be highly beneficial
Salary commensurate with experience. (£35-45k+)
